It was something not to be missed!!! The experience to witness more than 70 000+ Christians gathering in one stadium in South Africa, for Jesus, was unheard of until 19 July 2008. People arrived with an expectancy, to have a meeting with Jesus. He was the guest of honour, and it was about fellowship, and giving praise honour and glory to Him Although there was a great excitement, and a huge crowd of people, everything was guided by a Heavenly Peace. There was no chaos, no unruely behaviour, because our God is in control. We simply do not have the words to even describe the feeling. It would probably be by saying: " the best part of it all was that you could submit completely, over and accross all boundries and not even be concerned about anyone around you, for it was about Jesus." To witness the voicing of 70 000 + Christians roaring a definite "amen" just brought the annointing of the Holy Spirit again and again. To hear the shout of agreement, was so pure and powerful. Nothing interfered, worship was to give honour to Jesus. Retief Burger, Louis Britz and Juanita just received that extra portion of Holy Spirit inspired annointment and the crowds were hungry to give praise to Jesus. The lifting up of hands, the singing of Our Father, united everyone in their love for Jesus our Lord. Each one of them brought us closer into praise and worship, until a closeness with God was so real that nothing could break the presence of the Holy Spirit in that time. Let's not forget about Jaco van der Westhuyzen who made a public statement in the super 14 last year with his "Jesus is King" T-shirt at the finals of 2007. Jaco your testimony is inspiring to everyone of us, thank you for sharing it with us, it is building of faith and we were at a loss for words And then there is Angus Buchan, humble servant of the Lord, farmer and brother in Christ. The message was powerful, the message was straight up, the message brought hope, encouragment, and it brought peace and calmness to the soul. In a country that is filled with so much negativity, God used Angus to speak of victory in Christ. We love you for your message Angus and we are praying that you will be blessed at all the other events as well. Thank you for teaching us Godly ways, straight from the Word of God. It was a pleasant surprise to experience the music by the Soweto String quartet, and they introduced the entering of worship to the crowds. When it was time to leave, people were hungry for even more, we would quite easily have stayed till the next day, as the Spirit was moving, the crowds were interacting and people were blessed. Most of the crowd lingered after, as they just could not get themselves to leave. Many many hands were lifted when it was asked who had declared Jesus as their saviour publicly for the first time. It was so breathtaking to see the numbers, they were all over the stadium To all the Christians who were there, Jesus loves you. He is ready for a revival in this country, and He is calling His people. You were awesome, and the fact that you showed up, is a true stand of faith and we know that we are united in Jesus. It was a wonderful experience to be part of the crowd and just find yourself wanting more and more To those of you who could not make it, you missed an Godly inspired day, it was a "Jesus filled" day, and stand up and unite in Jesus because He is alive!! To our Jesus, thank you for honouring us with your presence, and for blessing us at this event. We can only say... We love you Jesus and we cannot wait |
