The Jonk Live Music Festival had a different touch to it. It was not only a normal show or event. It was a Gospel Festival, a celebration of the love for Jesus, during the course of the weekend.

It was a new and awesome event to witness in Pretoria, at the church camping grounds. There were tents in the camping grounds, young people were actually gathering here. The desired to spend time in worship and fellowship with Jesus.

It had an unusual buzz to it, lively stalls situated close to the entrance, promoting Jesus, be it with a variety of clothing, music, books,dvd's and friendly faces everywhere.

On entering the grounds, everything seemed organised and there was a sense of peace and joyfulness. It were mostly young students who were finding their way amongst the everyone.

The program started Friday evening and although it was cold and freezing, the students were there to enjoy the music and focus on worship and praise.

We attended the Luidkidz launch on Saturday afternoon, and as we entered the stage area, the music was so powerful, we were experiencing a joyful noise unto the Lord. The excitement bubbled in everyone, and you could not help but lift your hands in praise to our Lord Jesus Christ. In these moments it was impossible not to be drawn into God's presence, for it was pure and  it was powerful.

It was filled with praise and reached a level where all you wanted was for this to keep going, and never to end. During this we once again realised the power of worship, the purpose thereof and the calling on the younger generation.

In this revival that is currently flooding South Africa and calling God's children to gather and praise His name, we need the young adults to stand up and declare their dedication and commitment to our Lord Jesus.

This festival is one of many revivals that is awakened in this country. It is an outpour of God's heartbeat for His children. In this we find a new strength, a new direction, a devine hearing, and we find a sense of "belonging"

We 'belong to Jesus." He is calling, loud and clear, and His children are gathering. We are in need for it, as it brings hope to the hopeless and rest to the restless. It proclaims that we are serious about our love for Jesus, and need His favour and protection over us, and it is drawing us closer to the Holy Spirit.

We were blessed to have a glimpse of this festival, and we hope that this will grow amongst God's people. That they will gather to meet with Him, that the hunger for Him will be so strong that this will be one of many more to come

Thank you for making a statement for Jesus. Thank you for dedicating your time to God, and for not being ashamed of being a child of God. We need this generation to stand up and make a firm statement, to be strong in their belief in Jesus and pure in their ways.

We pray for more of this as we need this in our nation and in our cities.
